Articles of Association, Statutes, By-Laws

‘Articles of Association’, ‘Statutes’ and ‘By-laws (or Bye-laws) are written rules on the internal regulations that provide clarity to an organisation’s structure and functioning and in building an organisation’s identity; they also provide a basis for trustworthy relationships with other organisations and entities.

In many countries, developing and adopting such documents – and taking action on the issues stipulated in such documents – is a critical pre-requisite for the official registration of an organisation with local authorities.
